I have been teaching swimming for over 25 years. I am certified by the American Red Cross as a Water Safety Instructor. I was a competitive swimmer for 8 years as well as having coached Swim Team for 4 years. I am also a Lifeguard Training Instructor.
My experience has helped me become a well rounded instructor with the ability to teach all skill and age levels. I also have an excellent track record with students who are fearful of the water.

Andrew is an excellent instructor, and I HIGHLY recommend anyone to take lessons with him!!!! I had taken several swim lessons with other people before him and didn't learn a thing. I'm almost 30 and have never spent any time in the water growing up and actually had a lot of anxiety about being in it. By the end of my first session with Andrew, I was able to swim the entire pool's length. He was patient and super-nice and made sure I was comfortable at all times with the exercises he was teaching me and actually made swimming fun. After my sessions with him, I went on to become certified as an advanced open water diver and went scuba diving in The Great Barrier Reef. Without Andrew's help, I would have never had the opportunity to have this amazing life experience!! Thank you so much, Andrew. You were so great with me!! Please keep in touch - I'm thinking of doing a few more sessions with you in the future to fine-tune my swimming technique. :) THANKS AGAIN!!

I had a life long serious fear of being in the water and never learned to swim as a child. I had tried a swim class before but did not learn much. I was going on vacation and wanted to learn at least the basics so that I could snorkel and participate in water activities with my husband. So after a few lessons, I accomplished my goal with Andrew's help and had the best vacation ever, swimming almost everyday! Andrew made me feel very safe in the water, knew how to handle my anxiety, explained moves in a way that I could understand, and had availability in the evenings. Now, I love to swim and learned much more than just the basics.

Andrew is an great instructor! he perpared me for swim qualifictions for Navy spec ops tryouts. he is very patient and very clear on his insructions of what he wants you to do! took 5 lessons and was definatley worth the price... i would suggest andrew to anyone and everyone!

After taking adult group lessons and still not learning to swim, it was time to really learn how to swim with a private instructor. Andrew is very patient and takes the time to explain proper technique. He is reassuring and provides great encouragement. I have learned so much more in 5 lessons than I have ever learned in the group lessons that I have taken.

I cannot say enough about Andrew. I knew the basics but wanted to develop other swim styles and become more of a swimmer. He broke down the other strokes and really made me understadn and feel comfortable doing them. He helped me become really comfortable in the water and my swimming improved because of it.
I was so impressed I booked him to teach my mother. She is 62 and could not swim.(Not only that but she had a fear of the water) Within in the first lesson with Andrew she was laughing and really having fun. He has a great way with people and is very passionate about what he does. My mom has become very comfortable in the water and has even started lap swimming with me.
If you need an instructor there is no one better. I would suggest him to anyone and have suggested him to many friends.

I have 2 children and Andrew has taught both of them. My son has no fear of the water and that was the main reason I wanted to get him some swimming lessons. Within the first 10 minutes of the lesson, Andrew had him floating on his back, kicking to the steps and actually waiting before jumping in!!! The best thing was my daughter was watching, she was extremely fearful of the water, and Andrew talked to her and ended up getting her in the water too!!! With no crying or complaints, and she actually had fun! They have both done so well with him and I am very happy with your site for putting me in touch with such an excellent instructor.
