Can a 2yr old swim?

Yes, my 2yr old twins CAN swim. I am amazed at my children's progress after 9 months of swim lessons with Liz. To my amazement Liz taught my children to also flip over on their backs get a breath and flip back to their stomachs and swim to the wall. I am so glad my children have learned this skill, because i am expecting another child in June. My summer is off to a great start.
Thank you Liz!

Liz is one of the best, caring swim instructors my children have ever taken swim lessons from. Liz took my 3 children and taught them to swim in two summers in our back yard pool. They are now safe, happy, and proficient swimmers. Liz also taught my children practical rescue skills. My oldest son, 12 yrs old saved his cousin in our pool after he fell in when they were playing ball, simply by throwing him a rescue ring and pulling him to the pool side. Now cousin Joey is taking lessons from Liz. Don't deprive your child from learning to swim, the life skills could someday save a life.

Liz has a great personality with children, She came to our house and taught my two boys in our home pool. Her teaching methods are unique and very effective. My 3 year old can jump into the pool, swim 15 yards, can flip to his back, get a breath and swim to the wall. My 5yr old learned to swim freestyle, w/side breathing and back stroke in 12 lessons. This is most definitely the best investment I have made thus far for my children's well being and confidence. She is now working with my 16 month old daughter. Liz is teaching my daughter how to float, and has her going under water swimming 3ft to wall already. Liz has so much experience with children you can't afford to miss out. She has surely applied her title "The Swim Whisperer" to all three of my children.

Swimming made easy!

When I first started swim lessons with Liz I was awkward in any body or water. After Liz analyzed my stroke, I realized I was putting forth much too much energy and going nowhere. Liz corrected my pull, balance and breathing technique first, then she took away my endless kicking for a faster overall stroke. I am now able to swim 800 meters in 12min. Which is an incredible difference since my old time was 19min. and my legs were burning so much, I could not even pedal my bike home after swimming. Now I swim lighter and faster than ever before, and am ready to do my 5th triathlon in June. Can't wait!

I have been taking lessons from Liz for 4 months, She has a way of analyzing your stoke and picking out a few things to make swimming easier. I have been practicing 3 times a week to improve my endurance and better my technique. Liz has helped me with balance, gliding through the water feeling weightless, and breathing techniques that really work! I am so glad I found Liz and will be working on endurance for my 3rd triathlon next summer. Liz has also taught me to swim faster with very little kick, I did not think it was possible to swim faster with less kick, but I am not as tired and can swim much faster. My friends as very surprised I can swim much faster in only a few months training with Liz.

I was very frightened of going in the water. I had a very bad experience when i was 6yrs and never went near the water since then. When I met Liz who I saw teaching someone who seemed just as afraid as I was. She had a way of calming this persons nerves and building confidence. I have now taken about 20 lessons with Liz, each one building on previous skills until I can now swim in the deep end without any fear.
Now I am working on endurance and can't wait to enjoy the beach next summer.
Highly recommend Liz as an excellent instructor.

She really is the swim whisperer

I had taken lessons from 4 different teachers before I came to Liz and I was very nervous around water. I could not blow any bubbles, could only kick my legs to move backwards, Could not even let go of the wall at first. When Liz gave me things to practice and I went 2 days a week to practice for 30 minutes every week, this allowed me to relax in the water and then I finally was able to float, kick correctly, then swim and now I am able to swim in the deep end. I never thought it was possible, Liz kept telling me "You can do it" Liz was right! I thought that's what she was whispering. Now I can go to the beach and swim not hide under the umbrella. If you cannot swim you are missing the fun. Don't miss the best teacher I have ever found.

Before my lessons, I could pretend to swim a few strokes, but as soon as I needed to breathe, I had to stop and stand up. Also, I had arthritis in my left knee that was keeping me from exercising. Liz taught me how to breathe, then completely changed my swimming stroke and kicking method. After 8 lessons over 9 weeks with not nearly enough practice on my part, 1) I am able to swim across a 25-meter pool with breathing several times in a session perfectly, 2)my knee is FIXED because the fins she advised me to use have rebuilt the muscles and support structure around my knee, and 3) I am able to swim 750 meters in a 30 minute practice session. Granted, not all with perfect form or breathing and I still have to rest at the end of each lap, but that's because I was a couch potato. LIz is a remarkable teacher. Once I've got a few more weeks of practice under my belt, I'm signing up for more lessons. With Liz's instruction, I think I've found the first sport/exercise I really like!

I've been taking lessons from Liz for over 6 months - twice a week in average. I was a complete beginner and now I can do all four strokes. I'm very happy with Liz. She is extremely patient with her students which puts me at ease. She is always with me in the water, as opposed to other instructors in the same pool who are almost never in the water with their students. Her being in the water is important to me as it helps me and her to fine tuning and focus on details. Highly recommended!
